Trussardi

Dante Trussardi started this business as a glove maker in 1910. His grandson, Nicola Trussardi, recently was in the news due to a tragic car accident. Nicola inherited the business in 1970 from his brother (who also died in a car accident) and expanded the family business in fine leather goods, accessories, and ready-to-wear lines for men, women, and children. Trussardi's most recent designer is Jeremy Scott, who joined them in 1997. Sobriety, naturalness, and seductiveness applied both to the material and the form, express the character of the Trussardi style, a style the American press has dubbed 'the modern sensuality'.

Trussardi ventured into the world of fragrances in 1983 with Trussardi Uomo for men and Trussardi for women in 1984. Other fragrances followed, and Trussardi secured the label Made in Italy for itself and other fine companies whose adherence to luxurious products matched that of its own. In the 1990s, Trussardi expanded into the Asian markets with great success. As of August 2014, the latest addition to the Trussardi line is Trussardi A Way for Her. The house boasts 29 fragrances.
