Tony Margolis, Lucio Dalla Gasperina and Bob Emfield have Founded Tommy Bahama, in 1993. This brand originated with casual sportswear and their signature printed silk camp shirt, which became popular after Kevin Costner wore it in the 1996 film 'Tin Cup'. Tommy Bahama has expanded to carry swimwear, fragrances, footwear, accessories, and home furnishings. Tommy Bahama restaurants and brand rum are also famous.

Tommy Bahama for Women and Tommy Bahama Men are the first Tommy Bahama fragrances, are available since in 2004. 'Set Sail St. Barts' in 2007, 'Set Sail South Seas' and 'Set Sail Martinique' releases multiple time in the Set Sail brand. Now Tommy Bahama carries more than 15 different scents. Tommy Bahama focuses on fun for leisure life. In 2009, the company signed a deal with the Professional Baseball League of the USA to create MLB limited-edition camp shirts. It has sponsored yacht races across the Pacific and televised golf tournaments. National Relaxation Day is founded, created the Garden of Hope and Courage, a nonprofit breast cancer awareness foundation and healing sanctuary.
