Diane Von Furstenberg

Diane Von Furstenberg, once married to Prince Egon Von Furstenberg of Austria, heir to the Fiat fortune, is famous for creating the workingwoman's wrap dress in 1972. In late 1969, they were living in New York City where she tried to break into the fashion business by taking her samples to garment manufacturers. Her first showing was at the Gotham Hotel in 1970. In 1972, she established her own manufacturing business. By 1976, Furstenberg had sold more than 5 million of her popular dresses for the workingwoman.

The Belgian designer, who began her popular fashion career in 1970, uses the same exuberance in her fragrance collection. The Furstenberg line produces seven luxurious perfumes. Her first perfume in 1975 was Tatiana, a white floral and animatic fragrance with tuberose, green, floral and rose. This was followed by Volcan d'Amour in 1981, named after a poem written for her by Paulo Fernandez, It is a strong Chypre floral with exotic frankincense and myrrh notes. In 2003, D was released with its blend of mandarin, violet and lily of the valley. In 2011 launched, Diane and Diane eau de Toilette, the first, a woody floral she said was designed to put women's power in a bottle, and the second, a scent featuring musk and patchouli with smoky, powdery, white floral undertones. "Love Diane" a sweet, spicy blend of aromas, and "Sunny Diane" based on frangipani with aquatic and woody notes, two new perfumes launched in 2012.
