Tiffany

Tiffany is an internationally known American jewelry, silverware and specialty store that embodies the highest standards of taste and style. Charles Lewis Tiffany and his partner, John B. Young, founded Tiffany as a stationery store in 1837 in Lower Manhattan. Tiffany took control in 1853 and changed the name to Tiffany & Company, focusing on jewelry. It created the logo for the New York Yankees and revised the Great Seal of the United States and the Medal of Honor in 1919 for the Navy. Lady Bird Johnson also commissioned the company to make the White House china. The Tiffany name has grown synonymous with diamonds. Throughout the years, the brand has been featured in a number of films, including Breakfast at Tiffany's and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Tiffany's mail-order catalog, the Blue Book, was first introduced in 1845 and was sent free of charge until 1972. As of 2014, the catalog still continues. While the flagship store remains its residence in New York City, Tiffany also has stores in 22 countries.

The company launched its first fragrance in 1987, a women's scent aptly named Tiffany. This floral based fragrance won the FiFi award in 1988. Tiffany for Men was released in 1989 with a spicy Oriental fragrance. Tiffany's fragrance base consists of eight perfumes. Its latest release was Pure Tiffany in 2003, a popular, airy and clean fragrance.
