She serves on the State of Illinois Board of Economic Development, the Board of Directors of the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, the Chicago Convention and Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley's tourism committee, and she is one of the founding members of the Craniofacial Center at the University of Illinois, where she works with burn survivors and patients with facial disfigurement.
