Lucky Brand

In 1990, Gene Montesano and Barry Perlman founded Lucky Brand, based on a shared passion for denim. The Los Angeles-based brand is known for their vintage-inspired jeans, which get their distinctive worn-in look from hand-washing and strategic sanding, patching, fraying and ripping. Fun, stylish details and authentic hardware give these great-fitting jeans a personalized touch and unique character. The brand has since evolved to offer other clothing, including T-shirts, sportswear, outerwear, and swimwear. Like their denim, the entire Lucky Brand clothing line is inspired by Southern California's laid-back lifestyle and designed for the free spirit, rock 'n' roller, and artist in us all. Fragrance giant Liz Claiborne acquired 85 percent of Lucky Brand in May 1999, helping the all-American company expand across the country. A decade after the denim empire was born in 2000, Lucky Brand took its first foray into the fragrance world with the help of perfumers Jean-Claude Delville, Laurent Le Guernec and Harry Fremont. Cleverly named fragrance pair Lucky You for Women and Lucky You for Men offers a clean, natural scent that's in keeping with the brand's signature Southern California style. In 2013, Lucky Darling joined the fragrance line, giving women a fruity, floral alternative to the earthier Lucky You.
