Juliette Has a Gun

 

Juliette Has a Gun was founded by Romano Ricci in 2006, is a niche brand of women's fragrances. Ricci is the great-grandson of legendary designer Nina Ricci and the grandson of perfumer Robert Ricci, who created the iconic perfume L'Air du Temps. After an early career as a race-car driver, Ricci received his own training in perfumery teamed up with master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian to create a new fragrance line for the twenty-first-century woman.

The brand's name is inspired by one of Shakespeare's most famous heroines, but rather than living within limitations and dying for love, Ricci's imaginary Juliette is seductive and fearless. The line was launched with two fragrances, Lady Vengeance, and Miss Charming. Subsequent fragrances include Citizen Queen, Calamity J, Romantina, Mad Madame, Gentlewoman, and others. In addition to being offered in artistically designed bottles, many of these scents can also be used in refillable, bullet-shaped travel atomizers. Ricci and his sister also launched a women's clothing collection in 2009, and Ricci co-founded the niche perfume shop Nose in Paris with perfumer Mark Buxton.
