In 1923, Walt Disney and his brother Roy founded ‘The Walt Disney Company’. It was initially called Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio. Disney took the animation to a whole new level when Walt introduced his magical cartoon mouse, Mickey, in the animated short film Steamboat Willy in 1928. Disney's cartoon was so successful that the company expanded into full-length feature films in 1934 with the release of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. In 1955, Disneyland opened in Anaheim, Calif., to the delight of adults and children alike. Since then, Disney has grown to include Disney stores; multiple resorts and is a major producer of top-notch films.
