Badgley Mischka

Badgley Mischka is a collaborative design effort between its founders, Mark Badgley and James Mischka. The two debuted their first collection in 1988 using a $250,000 family loan while they were still enrolled at Parsons School of Design in New York City. The duo achieved almost immediate success among the Jet-setting and Hollywood crowd for their 1940s-tribute, streamlined women's evening gowns. Their high-glamour, visually dramatic design style led to their inclusion in the Top 10 American Designers list from Vogue. Each of the pair's pieces is designed with a distinct element of interest, either within the dress silhouette itself or with a lavish, highly embellished detail. In 1993, Badgley Mischka added a bridal line to its offerings. One of the brand's dresses was worn by "Sex and the City" character Charlotte York for her second wedding on the show. Since its inception, the Badgley Mischka brand has developed a loyal celebrity fan base, including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Garner, Sharon Stone, Sarah Jessica Parker, Catherine Zeta Jones and Julia Roberts. Badgley Mischka also offers women's daywear, handbags, shoes, accessories, swimwear, outerwear, jewelry and watches in its seasonal collections.

Badgley Mischka's first, self-titled women's fragrance was released in 2006. The duo added Fleurs de Nuit for women in 2007 and Badgley Mischka Couture for women in 2008.
